…Or I’ll at least keep making more Little Mermaid clothes and live vicariously as a mermaid through them!
I saw this knit Little Mermaid fabric at Joann’s and just had to get the last yard! I’ve been on the lookout for a TLM print in something more wearable than quilting cotton or that cheap-feeling satin they always have. Score on this find! It’s a medium weight spandex cotton that looks like it’ll last me a good while.
The pattern I used is the Grainline Studio Lark Tee. My love for the Lark is well-documented and this one didn’t disappoint! I made a size 10 since I found that to be my sweet spot between my broad shoulders and broad hips. I also made my usual adjustment of take off 1 1/2 inches from the length.
Isn’t it fun? This will replace my Little Mermaid dress from who-knows-how-many-years-ago. If and when I go back to a Disney theme park, I’ll be much more comfortable in this than the dress that somehow didn’t grow with me. ;-\
Ariels and Flounders swimming everywhere!
There’s really not a whole lot to say about this so here’s my basic reaction to everything mermaid!
And now it’s time for a new adventure… where will the sea take me?

Cotton spandex is a great choice for Tees, how lucky to fall on the last bit of this print, cheerful and pretty.

Absolutely! I know this will get a lot of wear between the awesome fabric and awesome pattern 🙂

I see you have made a variety of tees. It appears that Lark is your (current) favorite pattern. Would it be possible to have a comparison of the different patterns you have used, or what you particularly like about Lark?

That’s a great idea! I’ll definitely keep that in mind and try to make a post of it. I’m in the middle of moving to Japan right now, so when things slow down a bit I’ll work on it 😉
