Feminine Grunge with Grainline Studio’s Lark Tee and Colette’s Zinnia Skirt

The ’90’s are back in the fashion world and I am so stoked. I like the mix of feminine and grunge, so I had to make an outfit to pay homage to my teenage years. Check out the full post on my outfit and thoughts on my teenage style over at the Cali Fabrics Cali & Co. Blog here.

I am happy to report that I have a new TNT T-shirt pattern – the Grainline Lark Tee. Expect to see many more of these in the future!

This was my first time sewing with chiffon… or at least successfully sewing with chiffon. This is the Colette Zinnia Skirt and I am also stoked about this one! I’ve needed/wanted a high-waisted skirt for play and work, and I think this fits the bill perfectly.

So head on over to my Cali & Co. post to discuss evolving styles and to learn more about these patterns and fabric. See you there!

  1. I love how adventurous you are with fabric types on these posts: activewear, chiffon, sequins, novelty knits…you’re all over the Cali catalog and it’s awesome! The final outfit is great, and like you I am thrilled that it’s “cool” to dress like it’s the 1990’s again. I was too young the first time around, but now I can free my inner Grunge kid, LOL!

    1. Yay! I’m glad you’re enjoying my fabric adventures! I want to learn it ALL and Cali Fabrics gives me the perfect opportunity to be brave. I wonder what type of fabric I should work with next? Hmmmm?
