Thank goodness WordPress reminds me when my blog anniversary is, or I’d forget to reflect! I’m also a little embarrassed to admit that Facebook has to remind me when it’s my cats’ birthdays…. and yes, they have their own FB page (which they haven’t logged into in about 2 years).
Anyhoo, here are my stats as of this time last year:
124 posts
17,267 views
6,730 visitors
115 subscribed followers
Most viewed single post: A Seamwork Mesa
And here are my stats as they are today!
181 posts
36,017 views
14,089 visitors
251 subscribed followers
Most viewed single post: A Seamwork Mesa… AGAIN!
The goals I set last year were to make Fail February a thing (check) and to get a little more involved in the online sewing community (check, check, and check). I really love being part of the CaliFabrics blogger team and am so grateful I got a kick in the booty from both Elizabeth and Melissa to participate in their sewing challenges!
Do I have any goals for Sew RED-y’s 3rd year? I know I really should as that’s how one grows, but I’m having fun as it is and am really enjoying watching the growth happen naturally. As my blogger friend Abigail (from The Freckled Fashionista) says, it’s not about the quantity of posts or the quantity of followers… it’s all about quality. I know I can always work on the quality of posts (we’re always learning!) but I am loving the quality of my dear readers… y’all are a wonderful group of people!
So again, thanks for another year of sharing the sewing love. I hope that you’re enjoying Sew RED-y as much as I am!
Cheers to many more years to come,
RED
Happy blog anniversary.

Thank you! The pattern weights make me so happy! There’s a lot of other great (and delicious-looking) stuff for sewing in the Oh Sew Quaint Etsy shop. I have to stop myself from buying it all. 🙂
Haha the cat dress definitely turns some heads. 😉

Discovered your blog last year. Enjoy reading it and must mention that I really like the idea of the “who made it best” post. Really fun to see different takes on the same pattern. Please keep doing it. (And yes, I’m another Tucsonan.)

Woo-hoo Tucson pride! Hope you’re staying cool. 🙂
Thanks for reading and commenting! Who Made it Best was really fun and Melissa has other face-offs on her blog… with more to come! I wonder if I can do a spin-off with Fail February… who failed it best? LOL

Hooray for 3 years!! It’s been so fun to watch your blog grow and evolve alongside your sewing. And I think the organic growth thing really suits you: all your collaborations seem very natural for you, never forced or contrived. Even if I don’t comment, I always read your posts; your voice is still *your* voice, and you’re still a funny, sincere, and engaging person who sews really cool stuff, just with a bigger (deservedly so!) audience these days. 😀 Here’s to many more great things for Sew RED-y in its 3rd year!

Oh Mads, this gave me warm fuzzies! Thank you so much for the kind words and for sticking it through the past couple of years with me! I feel the same – although I may not comment on everything, I always read and look forward to your posts.
Now I’m going to have a silly grin on my face all day. 😀 Much love ❤

Congrats on your 3 years! You really have accomplished so much. I love to read your blog and I feel so inspired by you. I’m sure you’re aware of this because either I totally copycat you or give you a holla on my blog. You’re my much taller twinsie and a fellow cat lady. Can’t wait to see what the next year has in store for you.

Thanks, Jamie! As the Japanese would say, “Kochira koso!” (Same goes to you!) I’m happy we found each other (getting creepy yet?) and I really enjoy reading your blog, too! I appreciate all the love and look forward to many more years of blogging friendships. 🙂

Happy 3! I love the donuts! Quality is key! You do such a good job at writing in an engaging, funny, natural way. There’s a lot of good blogs out there with great pictures that miss this personal sort of feel. Keep being awesome!
